**We're seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Education & Outreach Program Officer.**

**As a key member of our organization, this role will actively contribute to the success of our conservation programs by leading efforts in awareness campaigns, social media management, workshop development, ambassador network expansion, and newsletter distribution.**

**This position will also join all Prime Earth Team Members in the planning, preparation, and delivery of special online events for our members and the public focusing on nature education and wildlife conservation.**

Responsibilities Include:
[1] _Awareness Campaigns and Social Media Communications:_
- Actively participate on our Action Team to implement ongoing awareness campaigns, including curating content for our organization's social media platforms to engage with our target audience
- Lead the development of content for awareness campaigns and promotional materials.

[2] _Workshop Development and Delivery:_
- Collaborate with team members to develop engaging in-person and virtual workshops.
- Assist in creating educational content aligns with our conservation goals.
- Deliver workshops to diverse audiences, fostering a deeper understanding of our outreach initiatives and current conservation issues.

[3] _Ambassador Network Expansion and Recruitment:_
- Assist with expanding and managing our ambassador network, cultivating relationships with passionate individuals.
- Recruit new ambassadors to broaden our outreach and impact.
- Assist Program Coordinator with providing training and support to ambassadors to ensure effective representation of our organization.

[4] _Newsletter Writing and Distribution:_
- Write compelling content for ongoing newsletters to keep stakeholders informed.
- Collaborate with various teams to gather content and updates for newsletters.
- Ensure newsletters align with the organization's messaging and goals.
- Coordinate the distribution of newsletters to keep stakeholders informed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred (communication, marketing, social science, humanities, environmental science, etc.).
- Experience in creative design and online community engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively on a diverse team with a variety of people from different cultures and sub-cultures, and regions.
- Availability to work on flex hours with Saturday morning shifts and occasional evenings.
- Experience in workshop development and delivery is a plus.
- Previous involvement in ambassador programs or community outreach activities is an asset.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to Prime Earth’s mission.

**Eligibility**:
Individuals hired must meet the following criteria:

- Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Be available to work the full work term June 24, 2024 - Aug 23, 2024.
