**Cross Dock Lead Hand, Night Shift**

**JD Smith** is looking for a night shift **Cross Dock Lead Hand** for our facility in the Keele & Langstaff area (Vaughan). Hours of work are Sunday 5:00pm - 11:30pm AND 7:00pm - 4:00am Monday through Thursday (40.0 hours/week).

**NOTE**:Applicants **must complete the assessment** (which will be sent after you apply). If you do not, you will not be considered for this opportunity.

The Cross Dock Lead Hand assists the Supervisor with coordinating activities related to the inbound and outbound transportation of JD Smith freight. In the absence of the Supervisor, the Lead Hand is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Cross Dock including holding staff accountable to standards and work processes and communicating effectively to ensure workload is organized and completed.

**Qualifications**:

- First Aid certificate or willingness to complete the training
- 2 - 4 years verifiable experience on counterbalance forklift
- Must have a Forklift certificate of training
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Sense of urgency; solid problem-solving skills
- Highly dependable with superior attendance record
- Flexibility regarding hours of work including shift and weekends
- 1 - 2 years Supervisory / Lead Hand experience
