This position helps build a restaurant of unsurpassed quality, and to be a proud and integral part of that excellence. To prepare and serve cuisine to the best of one’s ability and or to seek out help from a superior in order to ensure consistent high quality of product and service in accordance with the standards laid out by the Chef. Work within the framework of the Events, Banquet/Wedding Buffets and Restaurant needs and demands.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Prepare and serve food in accordance with standards, directions and instructions from the Chef or direct supervisor
- Maintain consistency of appearance and quality of all menu items
- To work in a timely manner and be cognizant of the importance of every food item served to every client
- Communicate between shifts and with supervisors to ensure adequate product levels and consistent food quality
- Be aware of proper rotation of all food, ask questions if unsure of duties or responsibilities
- Be especially friendly and polite when dealing with any/all members of the public while in uniform or representing the club in any way
- Work within the structure of command on any given shift, reporting problems or concerns through proper channels and at appropriate times.
- Execute any other duties as requested by immediate supervisors
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Full apprenticeship or min 1-2 years of equivalent cooking experience
- Must have adequate knowledge of hygiene, sanitation and proper food handling skills
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain a clean, neat and presentable appearance, especially in view of guests (e.g.: buffets, on course concessions, public areas)
- Wear proper attire and work in a safe, clean, efficient organized manner
- Must be able to work in a multi-venue environment and be able to maintain multi tasking organization
- Must be physically fit enough to perform regular kitchen tasks
- Maintain a calm and cool demeanor in stressful working conditions
- Have a helpful, team-spirited attitude towards service staff, dishwashers and other co-workers

Full-time hours: 44 per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
