**About the role**
We’re looking for an exceptionally organized individual to support _The Logic_’s finance administration and operations. This role is vital in managing the financial and operational aspects of our business, ensuring smooth administrative functions and meeting our growth objectives.

**What you’ll do**:
Finance Administration:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments
- Coordinate with external bookkeepers to reconcile bank statements, manage expense claims, remittances and payroll process with external vendor
- Prepare financial reports for management and investors
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Coordinate the annual audit with _The Logic_’s auditors and external accountants
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Operations Administration:
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage office supplies and equipment, including procurement and maintenance
- Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures
- Assist with human resources tasks, such as onboarding new employees and maintaining personnel records
**Who you are**:
- You have relevant experience in a similar role in finance and business administration, bookkeeping, HR, or a related field
- Experience within media or subscription-based business models is considered an asset
- You have a strong understanding of financial principles and practices (ideally ASPE, GAAP)
- You’re proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and accounting software (ideally QuickBooks Online)
- Can demonstrate exceptional discretion and integrity in handling sensitive materials, including confidential information at senior management and board director levels
- You have some knowledge of HR processes and regulations
- You have a proven track record of adapting workflows and making suggestions to improve productivity
- You have a passion for great journalism and the drive to part of a growing startup
