The Oxford County Community Health Centre (OCCHC) exists to address the needs of community members who face a range of barriers in everyday life. We are seeking:

- **YOUTH TRANSITIONAL HOUSING WORKER - WOODSTOCK **_

The _Youth_ _Transitional Housing Worker_ supports youth (16 - 24) experiencing housing instability in Oxford County through our Transitional Housing program. The Transitional Living Residence is a 4-bedroom home in Woodstock, owned by Oxford County, and operated by the OCCHC.
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized housing plans with youth, focusing on their strengths, needs, and goals.
- Advocate for youth rights, ensuring their voices are heard and respected in the decision-making process.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the transitional housing program, promoting a sense of belonging and community among youth.
- Provide guidance and support to help youth understand their responsibilities in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Provide mediation and conflict resolution support to help youth learn to effectively communicate and resolve issues.
- Facilitate opportunities for youth to engage in life skills activities, such as cooking, budgeting, and household chores, in a supportive and non-punitive manner.
- Implement strength - based approaches to empower youth, focusing on their abilities rather than their limitations
- Collaborate with youth to create individualized transition plans that address housing, education, employment, and other essential aspects of independent living.

**Compensation**:Competitive compensation plus pay in lieu of benefits.

**Hours of Work**:37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

**Requirements**:

- Completed post-secondary education in social services or related field and a current Member of a regulatory college in good standing, such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
