**About the Role**
As Director, Total Rewards and HR Technology, you will report to the Chief People Officer and serve as a member of our YMCA’s senior leadership team. You will partner with your peers to continue the journey to modernize our work environment and employee programs. You will contribute to our Association’s success by building out a high quality, comprehensive Total Rewards Program and practices that are aligned with attracting, retaining, and rewarding a high performing diverse workforce. You will also lead the strategy and operations for payroll, HR systems and workforce data, including data integrity, analysis, and reporting.
We are currently utilizing ADP Workforce Now, but are evaluating other HRIS solutions, including UKG. This role will be at the centre of leading the implementation of this HR technology transition. Bringing creativity and flexibility, you will establish new and improve existing practices in HR and payroll processes, compensation and benefits administration, transaction processing and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of ten years' experience, including demonstrated success in building and continuously improving an HRIS system and overall HR processes. You will have a solid understanding of payroll and compensation best practices and are willing to roll up your sleeves to ensure we build best-in-class practices within our team.
**How you’ll make a difference in your community**
***The Director, Total Rewards and HR Technology will be responsible for:
**Payroll**
- Oversee the payroll function and work with the payroll team to develop annual plans to optimize employee experience, payroll processes and compliance to standards.
- Partner with Internal and External Audit to develop audit plans, review audit recommendations and implement solutions to address gaps in process controls.
**HR Technology & Analytics**
- Lead the implementation and transition from ADP to UKG.
- Develop annual plans for optimizing the functionality of the technology while assuring proper security infrastructure.
- Develop and execute a strategy for data analysis and reporting across all HR functions and for executives and managers. Establish policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all HRIS data.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports to inform decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
- Lead special projects related to total rewards, payroll and HR technology.
**Total Rewards**
- Define the total rewards strategy to support the growing needs of YMCA in conjunction with attracting, retaining and rewarding a high performing diverse workforce.
- Oversee market research, benchmarking, job evaluation and trend analysis to ensure internal and external equity and competitiveness of YMCA’s total rewards programs
- Implement new or revised total rewards programs to ensure they support business strategy and practices are aligned across all value streams.
- Oversee the administration of our annual compensation cycle and general oversight of our benefits programs.
- In partnership with YMCA Canada, lead the modernization of our benefits program while assuring the integrity of our pension plan administration.
- Develop regular metrics and/or presentation material for the CHRO & Senior Leadrship Team; liaise with and/or present total rewards recommendations to the executive team.
- Manage outsourced programs and foster positive vendor relationships for total rewards programs.
**What You’ll Bring To the Y**
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, human resources, finance, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in payroll or total rewards; compensation and benefits experience required.
- 5+ years in a leadership role that includes coaching and developing a team.
- Expertise in the Hays methodology for job evaluation (or similar) and market analysis experience.
- Deep back end HRIS proficiency is required. Experience implementing a new HRIS system would be ideal.
- Experience developing compensation recommendations and/or programs.
