We are a CPA accounting firm located in the Magrath area of Edmonton. We are professional, innovative, collaborative and our goal is to find a new team member that compliments our core values. We are looking for someone with hands on experience doing bookkeeping for a variety of different businesses. Must have on the job experience using QBO, Quickbooks desktop and Sage doing regular bookkeeping as well as reconciliations.

Colby Steckly Chartered Professional Accountants is looking for a Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position will be responsible for a variety of accounting, financial, and clerical tasks.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner for clients, various types of businesses
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Maintain financial databases and records
- Assist in month-end close process
- Other ad hoc projects as requested by management

**Education/Experience/Skills**:

- High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeper/accounting position.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and practices.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of QBO, QuickBooks desktop is required.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
