**About Us**:
Shanghai Construction Group Canada Corp. is a dynamic and rapidly growing construction company specializing in underground tunneling projects and has been based out of **Edmonton, Alberta** since 2007. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our team.

**Position Overview**:
**Job responsibilities**:
Estimating:

- Reviewing monthly quantities for approval by Consultant/Owner for contract progress estimates and reconciling subcontractor & materials progress estimates.
- Developing an understanding of budgets, cost reports & revenue forecasts at the project level.

Technical skills and Management skills:

- Communicating plans, actions, risks, issues, and updates with key stakeholders such as SCG Canada employees, vendors, foremen, trades, superintendents, subcontractors.
- Assisting with completion of as-built drawings
- Managing pre-construction projects, inspections, and set-up
- Coordinates the request for information (RFI) process, ensuring RFIs are distributed to affected trades and maintains RFI logs and redlines.
- Monitoring contractor work for compliance with applicable safety and environmental legislation
- Completing day-to-day coordination of construction oversight activities in accordance with client terms of reference and manuals
- Fielding queries from external stakeholders and coordinating responses.
- Producing Daily Construction Report for approval & submission.
- Developing and maintaining a project schedule as required by the Project/ Construction Manager.
- Tracking and ensuring all extra work are preapproved and change orders are in place
- Assess project risks and issues and propose solutions where applicable
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings and deliverables
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between project stakeholders
- Organizes project close-out by preparing turnover documents and assists in demobilizing the site and archiving documentation.
- The Project Coordinator may be required to support field engineering or quality assurance activities as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor.

Other responsibility:

- Working nights, weekends, extended shifts, overtime hours as required
- Other duties as may be assigned

**Who we are looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience **3+ years** in coordinating underground construction projects or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate experience working with MS Office, AutoCAD and Excel
- Experience with construction management software is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
