S. W. Weeks Construction Limited is a locally-owned business established in 1971 with its head office located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Quarry operations and road construction are our two main divisions and has experience in the following areas:

- Crushing aggregates

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator / Estimator to work at our Head Office location in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Highway Manager, you will also interact with electrical, mechanical, and other subcontractors on a regular basis. You will be responsible for various estimating activities which will include: specification and drawing reviews, basic & detailed take-offs, soliciting material prices, preparation of estimates, preparation and maintaining of project schedules and participation in coordination meetings.

**Qualifications**:

- be a graduate from a post secondary program, technical program, diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Technology,
- must have a valid Class 5 (Minimum) NS Driver’s License,
- have some construction experience,
- be able to read and understand drawings, specifications and information that are pertinent to the job at hand and be able to pass information onto suppliers and/or subcontractors,
- be able to assess materials, labour and constructability aspects of a project,
- be organized and enjoy a detailed approach to quantity take-offs,
- have a strong knowledge of Autocad and Modeling software,
- possess excellent oral and written communication skills,
- enjoy working in a team office environment.
