Junior Radiation Physicist

**Location - Mississauga, ON.**

We are currently seeking a **Junior **Radiation** **Physicist** to be a part of our team in the Fuel and Physics department supporting the design of new nuclear power plants and the operation, refurbishment, or waste management and decommissioning of existing CANDU nuclear power plants.

**Your role within the team**:

- Produce high quality reports effectively summarizing technical information.
- Present results to internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Collate, assimilate, and summarize results from existing analyses.
- Follow the relevant procedures, guidelines and standards governing the work being performed.

- A Relevant honors degree from a university of recognized standing in Physics, Engineering Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics or equivalent.
- Radiation transport modelling / shielding experience and/or background performing dose calculations, activity transport and/or dispersion models are strong assets.
- Experience with the computer codes MCNP, SCALE, or ADDAM (equivalent codes acceptable).
- Ability to program especially in python, PERL, MATLAB, C++, or Fortran.
- Willing to be designated as a Nuclear Energy Worker.
- Additional Preferred Qualifications:_
- Experience working at a nuclear facility performing radiation transport and shielding calculations.
- Experience with rehabilitation and decommissioning activities and supporting station operations.
- Familiarity with codes and standards applicable nuclear work in Canada.
