**Position Title: Inventory Analyst - Supply**
**Team and Location: Finance Shared Services - Calgary, AB**
**Position Summary**:
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Hydrocarbon Cost Reposting, the Inventory Analyst - Supply will process and review inventory transactions, maintain rules and measures, control day-to-day inventory operations and implement inventory control protocols.
Data analysis will be the foundation of the Inventory Analyst’s focus. Working with large data sets and identifying risks and opportunity will be a day-to-day activity, providing insights to various departments through reporting and data interpretation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Analyze/Interpret Data
- Able to articulate effects of analysis, modeling, trends, business decision support on key financial measures.
- Provide insights to cross-functional areas of the business to improve efficiency.
Reporting
- Inventory accuracy analysis & reporting for Supply & wholesale - bulk plants & the terminals.
- Preparing reports and summaries for cross-functional departments.
- Establish and maintain proper records of inventory adjustments and other KPIs that can be shared on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
Execute/Develop Process
- Assist the Snr Inventory Analyst by executing current inventory management process parameters.
- Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement of processes and analysis models.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Post-Secondary Business Degree or Accounting Degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Obtained or working towards accounting designation.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects with mínimal supervision.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft excel expertise and ability to work efficiently with large/complex data files.
- Strong analytical, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of some or all of the following software would be considered a strong asset: DAS, Spreadsheet Server, JDE.
