**Required Skills**:

- Good knowledge of metallurgical preparation and materials test methods.
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in the office and work shop environment
- Ability to work on multiple long-term and short-term projects in parallel.
- Proficient with Office suite of software.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks will be a plus.
- Knowledge of use of machining equipment will be a plus.
- Knowledge of basic programming/ Labview will be a plus.

**Job Description**:

- Sample preparation of metallic, plastic and ceramic materials.
- Perform material testing in accordance with specified test procedure.
- Perform mechanical testing in accordance with specified test procedure.
- Work with a team of engineers, technicians and specialists.
- Organize the daily work flow to complete all assigned tasks on time.
- Report preparation.
- Test lab maintenance.

An undergraduate degree in Materials Sciences or Composites Engineering or a college specialized stream in Composites Engineering is mandatory. To qualify, applicants should meet the minimum requirements listed in the job description.

This is a contract position for 1 year; may become permanent full-time.

**Job Type**: Contract

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
