Overnight Addiction Counsellor

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct assessments to determine the needs and challenges of clients dealing with addiction.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and individual goals.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in their recovery process.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, treatment plans, and case management activities.
- Collaborate with medical staff, including physicians and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare professionals.
- Engage in research and data collection to enhance treatment methods and outcomes.
- Support families of clients by providing education about addiction and recovery processes.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in addiction treatment and special education strategies for children.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to addiction treatment.
- Experience working with children or adolescents dealing with addiction issues is a plus.
- Strong skills in case management, patient care, and special education practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and families.
- Ability to conduct research and collect data to inform treatment decisions.
- A genuine passion for helping others achieve recovery from addiction challenges.
