This role operates independently at the employee's home office and customer locations with timely visits to the corporate office in Wingham.All employees are to participate in, and positively contribute to the company culture, Health and Safety initiatives, continuous improvement and abide by the Employment Standards Act and all company policies and procedures while maintaining a customer service mindset.Position Qualifications: Education & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of dairy and beef operationsCollege diploma or degree in livestock management and husbandry or equivalent practical experience in the fieldKnowledge of Animal husbandry and/or nutritionSkillsAbility to prioritize and map out the days to maximize contact with prospective clientsHave the mindset to be strategic in the approach to have quick successLeverage existing company clients to maximize resultsSelf-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasksExcellent time managementAbility to work without daily direct supervisionProven organizational, negotiation, communication, sales and problem-solving skillsAble to operate all Microsoft Suite programsExperience10 + years sales experienceStrong background in animal husbandry and/or animal nutritionmust have experience in Agricultural sales or as in the case of nutrition, agricultural consulting that leads to salesDirect Sales ExperienceCommunicationExcellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skillsAbility to interact in a team environment with a team mindsetResponsibilities:Dealer Support and Sales StrategyProvide dealer support and consultation on building design and layout to maximize lead conversions to sales.Provide education on product strengths and weaknesses, especially pertaining to agricultural design.Provide strong economic support to dealers to highlight fiscal advantages.Develop a strong sales strategy for maximizing agricultural sales.Develop and promote strategies to encourage dealers to expand into the agricultural building sector.Provide support and assist smaller dealers in taking on larger projects.Address any dealer or direct sales questions and problems relating to installations.Follow-up on past leads and new leads that come in.Take part at every step of the sales process "with" the dealer if the sale is going through the dealer, always being aware of the next step, competitor influences, and customer resistance to close.Market Analysis and GrowthEvaluate Britespan regional market share and identify and develop underdeveloped dealer areas.Liaise with Corporate to address challenges, optimize quote opportunities, and drive regional dealer growth.Work with Britespan Operations on forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management.Identify relevant trade shows and tours to attend.Attend trade shows and promote Britespan at relevant tours and conferences.Customer Engagement and RelationshipsDevelop a strategy to connect with large Dairy and Beef producers.Manage and nurture relationships with clients and industry influencers.Fosters a team environment and positive culture.Build and grow relationships with relevant agricultural industry partners.Engage in developing and growing affiliates.Seek out and create relationships with "all" We Cover customers, in the hopes to get the next sale. Utilize the We Cover customer profile book as a starting point.Information Management and ComplianceMaintain a full understanding of all aspects of Britespan; products, markets, manufacturing, and engineering, as well as competitor-equivalent products and relevant company and competitor channel programs/promotions.Utilize and ensure compliance and utilization of CRM database.Ensure compliance with invoicing and collections schedule.Have all presentations and quotes to customers reviewed by your manager before presenting to the customer.All leads are to be summarized on the Epic lead form and given to your manager to confirm the assignment of lead as a direct sale or a sale through a dealer.OtherMeet and exceed annual objectives as established by the senior leadership teamPerform other tasks as assigned in support of the business
