There is one full time contractsummer student **Grounds Assistant **position available **starting July 03, 2023, **ending **August 31, 2023, working 37.5 hours per week.**
- **Your Role**:_
- Performs grounds maintenance and general indoor maintenance as required for Luther Village on the Park.
- The responsibilities for this position will primarily focus on grounds and therefore vary by season and weather conditions, as well as providing rotating seasonal weekend coverage.
- **Your Talents and Experience**:_
- Education and/or background in grounds maintenance.
- Experience in redecorating and minor carpentry work.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, problem solve and work independently and as part of a multi-service delivery team.
- Possess an ability to relate well with people, particularly seniors.
- Ability to communicate with people and be open to direction.
- A passion for excellence in customer service.
- This position is physically demanding and requires working for extended periods in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 40 kg unassisted.
- Weekend work is required on a regularly scheduled basis.
