**Position Summary**:
**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:
- assisting students in French Immersion and community classrooms
- supporting students with learning disabilities, autism and mild to moderate behavioural challenges
- providing early intervention and ongoing language development support to French Immersion students
- providing one-on-one and small group support
- supporting students with language learning, literacy, numeracy and assessments
- supervising students at school arrival and departure, lunch, recess and field trips
**Education/Qualifications**:
- a two year post secondary program in a related field
- a minimum of one year of related experience preferably in an educational environment
- experience working with and providing interventions to students who have developmental delays and learning disabilities
- experience supporting students who have emotional and/or behavioural challenges and physical/medical disabilities
- proven ability to implement effective de-escalation strategies
- excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- proven success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- NVCI, First Aid
**Rate of Pay**:
$21.09 - $26.50 per hour
