Quality Technician

**Summary**
As a Quality Technician, you will be integral to maintaining high standards of quality control and assurance within our manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will utilize your core skills in quality inspection and analysis to ensure products meet specified standards. Your expertise with calipers and data collection will aid in identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with quality regulations. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will contribute to the overall success of our organization by upholding our commitment to excellence in product quality.
**Responsibilities**:
- Performing quality assurance inspections to determine if the product is compliant with the requirements of both the client and the company.
- Fulfill documentation and reporting requirements
- Maintain internal and external quality records
- Generate monthly quality assurance reports
- Perform audit processes for compliance to procedures
- Communicate findings with department managers
- Ensure that rejected product does not get shipped out
- Provide recommendations for necessary improvements for quality, service and efficiency when required
**Qualifications**
- Post Secondary education or equivalent - advanced computer skills.
- 3+ years Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing or fabricating environment.
- Hands-on experience with ISO audit is an asset.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Must be a team player and be able to work independently.
- Must be safety focused, a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well within all levels of a fast-paced organization.
- Must be able follow written and oral instructions Effectively communicating with key individuals regarding daily activities and projects.
- Adaptability and flexibility are key in a changing work environment. Demands may change frequently, or there may be delays or unexpected occurrences.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in using inspection tools (Micrometers, calipers, tape measures, indicators and height gauges).
- Ensure a commitment to ISO standards of excellence and the concept of accountability through completion of department goals and objectives.
