**Accounting Clerk**
- _________________________________

The **Accounting Clerk** is a vital part of the Special D Baking operations team providing support to the Director of Operations.

**Responsibilities**:
**Special D Baking - Accounting Technician (FT)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepares daily sales invoices and reconciles to product shipping documents. Coordinates with product manufacturing to ensure accurate records of purchase orders, shipments, invoices, and returns.
- Inputs sales invoices into customer portals.
- Daily reconciliations of customer payments to applicable sales invoice and works with Director of Operations on discrepancies.
- Assistance with the input of accounts payable and vendor invoices
- Prepares semi-monthly payroll and maintains accounting records
- Prepares monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepares required monthly Canadian sales tax returns
- Prepares EFTs, cheques, or wire payments
- Maintains accurate inter-company accounting
- Prepares monthly trial balance reconciliations and maintenance of relevant documentation
- Supports with preparation for month-end and year-end reporting, and coordinates with external accounting firm.
- Maintains electronic and physical filing system for documents
- As required, handles other accounting and finance related projects
- Reports directly to the Director of Operations

**Experience**:

- Experience with QuickBooks Online suite of products will be considered an asset.
- 1-2 years of experience in A/P and/or A/R.
- Experience with payroll an asset.
- Post-secondary Accounting or Finance diploma or suitable Bookkeeping certification will be considered an asset.
