**Junior Recruitment Officer** to join our team under the guidance of the Manager of International Recruitment and Marketing.

As a Junior Recruitment Officer, your primary role will be to assist and support our recruitment initiatives. You will be entrusted with tasks outlined by Senior Recruitment Officers and the Manager, ensuring their completion. Your focus will be recruiting prospective international students and facilitating their journey to the University of Regina.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Recruitment**: Follow the direction of the Manager and the Recruiters in activities and initiatives for established and emerging markets. Recruitment efforts will include promoting the University of Regina within designated markets, including in-person and virtual engagement.
- **Promotion**: Building awareness of the University through a broad range of promotional activities and the use of social media.
- **Understanding of Admission Criteria**: Support student recruitment by developing and disseminating international admission information through all communications channels.
- **Data** **and Reporting**: Prepare and maintain extensive recruitment records and student data.

Position Requirements

**What You’ll Bring to the Position**:

- Completion of an Undergraduate degree; and
- 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a university office environment and/or international setting.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role**:

- Must demonstrate strength in communication and interpersonal skills;
- Must be a dynamic and approachable individual;
- Comfortable with public speaking while having the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences effectively;
- Demonstrated ability to create rapport and connect with students, parents, university administrators, agents and high school counselors from diverse backgrounds;
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian university system and international student admission criteria;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Must be a self-starter and work exceptionally well in a team setting;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and diverse environment;
- Demonstrated ability and experience in building a connection with the international student community;
- Demonstrated awareness of cultural differences and has an understanding of how to connect and convey a message to audiences from various cultural backgrounds;
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to ever-changing circumstances while travelling;
- Demonstrated the ability to remain patient and calm under high pressure;
- Extensive knowledge of the University of Regina policies, procedures, services and academic programs;
- Experience and knowledge of marketing principles, web recruitment tools and social media;
- Knowledge of University databases, systems, and Microsoft Suite;
- Ability to communicate (written and oral) in an additional language is a vital asset;
- Must have a passion and desire to work with international students, faculty members, international visitors, governments, and agents;
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy boxes of marketing materials;
- This position may require extensive travel within Canada and internationally for a period ranging from several days to several months at a time.
