Commencing September 3, 2024 for a 3-year term secondment, the Supervisor of Childhood Development will function as a
- member of the Inclusion and Clinical Services Leadership Team, and report to the Director of Inclusion and Clinical Services. The
- Supervisor’s assignment will include responsibilities to provide guidance and support to school Student Services and Clinical
- teams and various divisional programs. The Supervisor will assist the Director in the areas of:
- developing and implementing the delivery model of clinical services in the Louis Riel School Division, specifically related to
- Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech & Language Pathology- providing programming and services to support student developmental learning
- management, as delegated by the Director of Inclusion and Clinical Services, relating to service delivery, and including but not

limited to: scheduling, file management, reporting, records management, conflict resolution, and hiring, supervision and
professional development of staff
- specific aspects of supervision of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists or Speech and Language Pathologists:

- assessment of clinical skills of permanently certified clinicians to complete performance appraisals
- assessment of clinical skills of provisionally certified clinicians to meet requirements for permanent certification
- mentorship of new clinicians

**REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Pathology preferred
- permanent Manitoba School Clinician Certificate (Occupational Therapy or Speech & Hearing)
- Certification with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Manitoba (if applicable)
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba in good standing (if applicable)
- knowledge of provincial legislation and regulations pertaining to clinical services and public education
- minimum of 5 years of successful experience working in public school environments
- demonstrated effective leadership of teams
- successful experience with planning for systems improvement
- successful experience with mentoring new clinicians
- successful organization of professional development activities
- effective assessment and programming skills (academic and behavioral) experienced in a variety of educational settings
- excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills***
- valid drivers’ licence and vehicle required
