**Salary**: $60,000-$70,000/year
CBS is seeking a reliable and experienced Project Supervisor to oversee various teams of janitorial, maintenance, and property management employees across the Western Canada region. In this role, you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance across various sites by supervising different teams and helping to manage day-to-day operations. Your leadership skills and ability to handle administrative tasks will contribute greatly to the success of our operations.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and support janitorial, maintenance, and property management teams across multiple sites and facilities within the Western Canada region.
- Conduct monthly site inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met. Provide inspection reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct training and orientation for new employees to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, task delegation, absenteeism monitoring, and quality control.
- Perform administrative tasks such as payroll processing, vacation requests, reporting, and maintaining employee records.
- Act as a liaison between the company’s HR, Accounting, and Operations departments to streamline processes and resolve issues.
- Interact and correspond with clients to coordinate contracts, address concerns, ensure satisfaction, and maintain positive relationships.
- Handle inventory management and order supplies as needed.
- Take on special projects occasionally as needed.
**Job Requirements & Conditions**:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven experience within the commercial maintenance and/or janitorial industry.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry heavy loads up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently within the Western Canada region (Alberta and Saskatchewan).
**Essential Skills & Expertise**:
- **Cleaning Techniques & Equipment**: Demonstrated knowledge of commercial cleaning methods and the operation of various cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, etc.). Ability to train and guide teams on proper use of tools and techniques to achieve optimal cleanliness and efficiency.
- **Safety Procedures & Compliance**: Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- **Quality Control & Attention to Detail**: Proven ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Skilled in conducting quality inspections and audits to ensure all cleaning tasks meet or exceed client expectations. Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- **Effective Leadership & Team Management**: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative work environment. Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
- **Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills**: Skilled in building professional relationships with both clients and team members, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a variety of situations.
- **Strong Organizational & Time Management Abilities**: Exceptional at managing competing priorities, staying organized, and meeting deadlines. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of productivity.
- **Proficiency with Technology & Microsoft Office**: Comfortable using computer systems and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
**Available Hours and Schedule**:
- **Hours**:40-45 hours per week.
- **Schedule**: Monday to Sunday (5 days per week) with flexibility for days and shifts worked.
**Additional Information**:
- Necessary equipment will be supplied, including a work cellphone and laptop.
- Vehicle allowance and/or company truck provided for required travel across Western Canada. Time off for any overtime worked for travel.
