With 140 years in the industry, _KRUG_ is well recognized as a leader in the design & manufacturer of high-end business & health care furniture. We are seeking positive and energetic Trimmer & Packer at our Seating facility in Ahrens Street, Kitchener.

Day Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm, Mon - Fri

**Accessible by Bus Routes**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Makes sure all product is cartoned properly for shipping.
- Secures top and bottoms of cartons with staples or tape and strapping.
- Hand tools used are brad nailing guns, upholstery staple guns, reciprocating saws, air drills, air drivers and knives to assemble wooden packing kits.
- Places proper shipping labels on all products.
- Completes required paperwork to ship product to Manitou & Stratford, i.e. shipping notices, special labelling for customer service.
- Loads trailers to maximize the number of pieces you can put on. Blanket wrap trailers when customers request this.
- Packs miscellaneous orders in a timely fashion.
- Orders cartons from stock room when needed.
- Complete Kan Ban sheets daily to insure cartons arrive next day from supplier.
- Custom makes cartons for miscellaneous items, i.e. tables, chairs.
- Assists Engineering to determine the size of carton needed for new product, where possible will recommend using a standard in-stock carton.
- Unloads conveyor to maintain proper production flow from the 2nd and 3rd floor.
- Minor finishing repairs, including minor scratches, white edges, small dents on legs, etc. is done (using touch up markers, blendall colour sticks (crayons) canned varnish.
- Packers are used in Trim to pre-assemble product to support areas in Trim when not meeting their schedule.
- Performs all resp./services in accordance with company Quality Assurance procedures

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Grade 12 education or equivalent.

Previous quality assurance/inspection experience considered an asset. Good organizational & communication skills.

Top Rate - 23.00 per hour

Pay: $18.74-$23.00 per hour
