Position Summary

The internship is an excellent learning opportunity for people who want to pursue a career in marketing. The role has exposure to global and domestic brands such as J.P. Wiser’s Canadian Whisky, Absolut Vodka, Ungava Gin, Jacob’s Creek, Stoneleigh, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Polar Ice Vodka and other Pernod Ricard brands. This person will be responsible for executing business processes, activities and providing project support, reporting to the Director of Direct & Indirect Procurement. We are looking for individuals with creativity and a strong attention to detail who can build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Note: This is a contract position for approximately 12-months.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Provide support in the development and execution of Trade Marketing Regional and On Premise programs
- Coordinate creative for National Retail Trade Marketing programs
- Manage the process in which we provide marketing materials to our retail partners ( i.e. LCBO) and the on premise locations ( bars and restaurants), in collaboration with the brand teams, trade marketing and suppliers
- Support the development and activation of in-store sampling programs.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse inventory and digital assets.
- Lead specific retail, On Premise and event program creative development with design agencies & the support of the internal content manager.
- Agency & Supplier Relationships
- Support in setting up new vendors and suppliers in our internal system
- Work closely internally wit, regional sales teams to plan and execute marketing programs across the country
- Build and maintain professional external relationships with suppliers (Agency, Printers, Warehouse...)
- Procurement
- Lead and manage procurement and distribution for select on-premise and regional retail programs in collaboration with the Procurement Team
- Support Retail Procurement Manager on global procurement reporting
- Assist in Budget control and Trade Promotion Management
- Issue purchase orders and create and maintain filing system for purchase orders, invoices and other documents for the Procurement Team
- Provide support to the Procurement Team in the implementation and maintenance of TPM system tool
- Miscellaneous
- Build various presentations for Monthly Planning Meetings, program post reports and other trade marketing initiatives
- Develop internal surveys and compile and analyze results

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a marketing focus preferred
- Must have graduated from university within 12 months
- Highly computer literate with an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with other publishing tools such as Canva, photoshop, illustrator, would be a definite asset.
- Hospitality industry and events experience is a strong asset
