DHL Express currentlyhas an opening for an**Operations Supervisor** in our facility in **Lachine, QC**.**The Operations Supervisor provides “hands-on” proactive management of the employees engaged in the daily export, clearance and transit of packages and freight, within prescribed standards of cost, efficiency, accuracy and on-time distribution. The supervisor implements new procedures to improve operational effectiveness and provides performance reports for management as required.Responsible for activities related to timely, safe loading and dispatch of DHL Aircraft in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

**How will you contribute to the success of DHL?**
- Recruits, orients, trains, schedules, manages and recommends discipline for all operations staff.
- Establishes/implements productivity, quality and cost measurements & strategies to achieve desired operational results.
- Ensures timely and accurate distribution of inbound and/or outgoing freight daily, in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with Regulatory bodies and regulations related to Air Transportation of goods and loading and dispatching Aircraft.
- Ensures Load planning and security of all equipment and Aircraft used
- Ensures Staff permits and Air operation audits area up to date
- Completes accurate and timely reports for management as required (staff schedules, attendance records, recruitment/ payroll documentation, dangerous goods incidents, WSB reports, load quality, arrival/departure).
- Applies appropriate leadership/management style with open communication (i.e., communicates Corporate strategic plan, recognition of individual/team contributions) to motivate staff.
- Ensures sufficient staff resources, materials and supplies on hand at all times.
- Ensures warehouse is organized and set up for next shift.
- Maintains equipment, in safe, efficient operating condition at all times.
- Establishes/maintains a proactive safety program in compliance with legislative requirements and the collective agreement.
- Implements & follows up on Customer Service solutions as determined by Sales resource team.
- Addresses Customer complaints and escalated items in a professional, expedient manner
- Performs other assignments (i.e., assists Gateway Manager) as required.

Le superviseur des opérations assure une gestion proactive "pratique" des employés chargés de l'exportation, du dédouanement et du transit quotidiens des colis et du fret, dans le respect des normes prescrites en matière de coût, d'efficacité, de précision et de respect des délais de distribution. Le superviseur met en œuvre de nouvelles procédures pour améliorer l'efficacité opérationnelle et fournit des rapports de performance à la direction, le cas échéant. Il est responsable des activités liées au chargement et à l'expédition en temps voulu et en toute sécurité des avions de DHL, dans le respect de toutes les exigences réglementaires.
