**The opportunity**:
The Associate Director of Research and Analytic Services bears the primary responsibility for delivery of Government commissioned work and Researcher commissioned work. The incumbent supports the Director as a member of the MCHP Executive Committee in moving forward with strategic priorities, planning, budgeting, and management activities for the entire research centre. Specifically, the incumbent directs the Research Support Team and the Data Analyst Team in their work providing research support and data analyses for government commissioned projects (5-10 per year), support for MCHP researchers attaining and deliver grant funded research (25 projects in 2023), and delivery of analyses on behalf of researchers (including students) (100-150 projects per year). The incumbent overseas the design and implementation of policies and procedures for the whole project process, from identification of an idea, through feasibility and costing, implementation, delivery and completion, as well as overseeing the tracking and management of the program of work. The incumbent is the liaison with similar research organizations across Canada and represents MCHP on provincial and national committees and working groups as required.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:
The incumbent must possess a post-graduate degree in a related field of study. The incumbent must also have as well as professional training in both Project Management and Management/Leadership.

The incumbent should also possess the following:

- Minimum ten years of management experience in a research environment is required.
- Experience of managing programs of work and implementing project management procedures is required.
- Experience of innovating and implementing new processes and procedures and managing staff through change is required.
- Experience of working with a range of clients and implementing client-focused solutions to problems is required.
- Experience of using administrative data for research is preferred.
- Experience working with government system planners is required.
- Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python is preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in Program or Project Management is required.
- Expert management, interpersonal, and supervisory skills, including the ability to develop and manage budgets and timelines, are required.
- Capable of effectively handling several concurrent tasks is required.
- Ability to connect with clients, listen to their needs, and manage their expectations is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of administration, provincial and national organizations, and the public is required.
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
