The Residential Estimator at Frontier Building Group is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects and overseeing project purchasing. This role ensures that each project is financially sound, properly scoped, and supplied with quality materials at the best prices. The Estimator collaborates closely with sales, design, and project management teams to provide clear budgets, timelines, and competitive proposals.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Estimate Preparation**: Review project documents to develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractors.
- **Proposal Development**: Present organized proposals that highlight costs, risks, and any potential challenges.
- **Purchasing Management**: Source and purchase materials and supplies, negotiating prices with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- **Team Collaboration**: Coordinate with the sales and design teams to ensure estimates and purchasing align with project goals.
- **Vendor Coordination**: Source and maintain up-to-date pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, fostering strong vendor relationships.
- **Cost Tracking**: Review actual costs versus estimates to improve accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.

**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: 3-5 years in residential construction estimating and purchasing.
- **Education**: Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- **Skills**: Proficiency with BuilderTrend (required) and Excel; strong understanding of construction drawings, building codes, and material pricing.
- **Attributes**: Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

**Performance Expectations**
- Accuracy: Estimates within ±5% of actual costs.
- Timeliness: Deliver 95% of proposals and material orders on or before the deadline.
- Improvement: Implement 2+ cost-saving measures annually.

**Work Conditions**
Primarily office-based, with occasional site visits. Flexible hours based on project needs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
