**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Managing the physicians clinical, personal and academic schedules
- Enhancing office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
- Developing EMR encounter assistants, templates and custom forms to facilitate patient encounters
- Maintaining accuracy of patient charts in EMR
- Coordinating activities with external sites involved in the physician practice
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and shipments
- Transcribing of letters and medical notes
- Processing patient payments and managing accounts receivables (credit card, debit, cheque & cash payments) when required
- Bookkeeping and data entry of corporate accounts including accounts receivable, collections and clinic audit
- Stocking exam rooms with supplies and equipment as needed
- Organizing physician travel and accommodation as required
- Other tasks in support of clinic activities as required

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Must be fluent in English and French, written and oral
- Display a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information and documents
- Strong organizational skills are essential
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to take initiative and act independently in time-efficient manner, using sound judgment
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines
- Excellent time management skills; attention to detail; capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple work demands, including time sensitive requests
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability work well with a diverse group of individuals
- Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Telus PS suite is an asset
- Experience in OHIP billing is an asset, willingness to complete course/certificate is necessary
- Medical Office Administration Diploma and/or experience in a medical office or hospital setting would be an asset
- Diploma and/or experience in social work setting would be an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology or Basic Medical Terminology Certificate are an asset
- Valid driver’s licence as local travel will sometimes be required

**SALARY**
- Based on qualifications and experience; will be discussed at interview
- Long term incentive plan
