**Hatchery Logistics Supervisor**

**What you will get to do**:

- Complete weekly delivery and pick up schedule for all hatcheries. Ensure all changes are captured. Ensure on time delivery to the farm.
- Assist with AI route planning, routing and monitoring.
- Monitor CloudHawk for alerts and troubleshoot any issues.
- Review electronic logbook and DVIR for discrepancies
- Monitor Hatchery Logistics for compliance in process and policies.
- Work with drivers and delivery team members to ensure they are following farm biosecurity procedures.
- Enforce Maple Lodge Hatcheries Bio Security program throughout the different sectors of the Logistics chain and correct issues immediately.
- Safe operation of full tandem drive trucks, including daily vehicle inspections. Observe the rules of the road including Hours of Service regulations. Monitory safety of cargo.
- Understand the operating systems for temperature sensitive product (live baby chicks, hatching eggs)
- Assist Manager, Hatchery Logistics, with booking repairs and services, providing vacation coverage, take emergency calls after-hours.
- Participate in the delivery of chicks and pick-up of eggs to farms and other hatcheries as needed.

**Your education & experience matters to us**:

- Must have DZ License, minimum 3 years experience
- Clean CVOR/Abstract
- High School Diploma Required
- At least 1 year of live animal delivery experience an asset
- Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.
- Ability to carry out the physical requirements of the job; including but not limited to lifting 50lbs, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, twisting, reaching and climbing.
- Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.

**Culture & work environment**:

- Outside conditions (weather) and farm environment (hot barn temperatures, some light farm odors
- Some Hatchery Environment, including fluff, warm temperatures
- Physical labour includes heavy lifting, pushing, pulling
- May be long shifts due to distance traveled but rare that overnight travel is required

**Shift**:
Schedule may vary depending on hatchery logistics requirements. A typical work week is rotating schedule Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday. The schedule may change from one week to the next as production requires.
