**Pavillon snack bar is looking for a Head Chef to join our team in Verdun, QC**

**The Head Chef is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant and is accountable for the overall quality of food and service.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, service, and sanitation.
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Devise recipes and standardize food preparation and presentation.
- Establish standard menus to meet the needs of all departments.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Assisting with inventory and ordering needs for all departments.
- Maintain positive guest relations through excellent service and good food.

Qualifications**:Must Have**: **A degree in Culinary Science or related field; or equivalent work experience preferred. **Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred. **Strong leadership skills; highly organized with great attention to detail; strong communication skills required. **Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed. **Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend, reach overhead, walk up stairs, climb stairs as necessary, push or pull a product weighing up to 75 lbs., push or pull over 75 lbs., and stand for prolonged periods of time. **Must be able to work in a cold kitchen (overnight when temperatures are above 30 degrees). **Must be able to work in a high volume environment (up to 10-12 hours per day). **Must be able to work in a high volume environment (up to 5-6 hours per day). **Must have reliable transportation. **Must have good attendance record

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 4 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2024-11-11
