**Part-time/Full-time Speech Language Pathology Assistant**

We are looking for a friendly individual who enjoys working with children to join us at the Abbotsford branch of Vancouver Speech Therapy. We are currently operating in a clinic space at 3670 Townline Road. Here at Vancouver Speech Therapy, we value the quality of our services to ensure our clients improve their speech and language skills. SLP assistants are supervised/mentored by an SLP so they feel supported as they treat clients.
- **We require someone who is available on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays for 8 hours each day (the days and times are not negotiable as these are the only days the clinic space is available for the assistant). See below for required hours**:_
- _**Saturday/Sunday: 10 - 6pm **_
- _**Monday: 11 - 7 pm **_
- _**Tuesday/Wednesday: Off **_
- _**Thursday/Friday: 12 - 8 pm **_
- **Please note, initially the position will offer 20 hours per week as we build the caseload, and will eventually we will offer a full time position of 37.5 hours per week with benefits. **_
- Provide 1-2 hour treatment sessions to clients in our clinic space equipped with needed toys
- Under the supervision of a speech language pathologist, to provide services to children with language delays/developmental diagnoses
- Regularly communicate with a speech and language pathologist about progress and/or concerns about clients
- Document progress after every session with each client, detailing progress
- Sanitize equipment before and after each home visit

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree/diploma or related coursework/experience
- Motivation to learn treatment strategies
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Be able to commit for at least one year
