**What You Will Do**

This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a challenging, fast-paced team environment. All students will be assigned to a training coordinator and will participate in site wide training, as well as a modular functional training program.

**Key Responsibilities**

In the role of the** Laboratory Technician II (Co-op) **your responsibilities will include:

- Support laboratory testing programs by organizing and preparing media, reagents, and solutions.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the Quality Laboratories (analytical and microbiology) in an audit-ready state.
- Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of laboratory glassware.
- Responsible for the purchasing and maintaining the inventory of laboratory consumables and supplies in Microbiology laboratory.
- Maintaining a safe work environment by utilizing aseptic techniques and good laboratory practices (GLPs).
- Maintaining detailed, accurate and up-to-date records of work performed using good documentation practices (GDPs).
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and executing implementation of innovative ways for current systems/processes.
- Support technical report preparation and additional duties as required.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
- Must have excellent oral communication and written documentation skills.
- Experience in laboratory techniques is an asset.
- Comfortable working with various computer programs.

- Familiar with Good Manufacturing and Good documentation practices.
- Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
