**PRIMARY PURPOSE**

This role will engage our global network of volunteers to strengthen relationships and progress University advancement objectives. Supervision and training is required, especially with junior staff, students and volunteers.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the University Information Management Systems
- Ensure up to date information from different data systems is maintained; ensure that all alumni activity is tracked, recorded, and analyzed; generates reports and lists as required
- Follow processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy of data collection, validation, and verification
- Support the team in research and coordination of initiatives to advance UCW’s strategic plan, in addition to the Student Affairs & Services strategic plan and priorities
- Identify new processes to increase pipeline development of alumni for volunteer roles and various engagement opportunities
- Support existing Alumni Relations activities, to engage local, national, and international alumni Communities
- Support all aspects of the University alumni programs, activities and events
- Provide support in the execution of the Alumni Recognition Awards program
- Help recruit and engage UCW faculty and staff, student, recruitment and alumni volunteers to deliver a meaningful experience for our alumni as volunteers and participants in virtual, on-campus and regional activities and events
- Help prepare and actively engage in alumni platform (Graduway), social media messaging and communications with a focus on UCW alumni by preparing content for communications and messaging platforms and mediums
- Support the re-engagement of alumni
- Assist in developing promotional content and materials related to community engagement needs
- Prepare the guidelines and material for students and employees on planned projects and Initiative
- Support data tracking needed for specified key performance metrics for a range of engagement programs and activities
- Help supervise alumni engagement volunteers across the University on alumni engagement programs, activities, and events. This includes programs, events, and activities in institutional campaign
- Perform other responsibilities as required

**Position Requirements**

**Competencies**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail

- Proficiency in other languages would be considered beneficial
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Office Suite would be considered an asset
- University Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge and use of a CRM, alumni/donor database, internal content management systems an asset
- Ability to take initiative where mínimal direction is provided

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or post-secondary institution
- Proven success in managing projects and being a team-player
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Understanding of and familiarity with post-secondary alumni services
- Experience and previous involvement with Alumni Services and Alumni Events
- Can accommodate flexible hours, attending events, evenings and weekends
- Experience with philanthropic and alumni engagement strategies are considered assets
