Interested in joining a growing team focused on how environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues are addressed at the companies in which CC&LFG affiliates invest? CC&L Financial Group is seeking an Intern to join our Vancouver-based **Stewardship & Engagement Team** for an **8-month term** (January - August 2025).

The Stewardship & Engagement team is focused on ESG issues (e.g., climate risk, diversity and human rights) and works closely with the investment teams on active ownership activities such as company engagements, proxy voting and collaborative initiatives with other investors and advocacy organizations.

As an **Intern Specialist **you will work with the Stewardship & Engagement team and portfolio management groups on a range of activities, some of which include:

- Assist with the analysis and execution of proxy votes.
- Prepare communication with investee companies ahead of voting.
- Assist with portfolio carbon footprint reporting and analysis.
- Assist with company engagements.
- Assist with analysis for inclusion in ESG reporting.
- Carry out ESG-related research and projects to develop and enhance our investment process.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from the portfolio management teams.

**Qualifications and Experience**

The** Intern Specialist **position is geared toward students in their fourth year of an undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Economics, Commerce or Sustainability. We are seeking ambitious students with a strong academic track record, who are interested in making a tangible impact in ESG processes at CC&L.
- At least one previous internship experience in the area of Finance.
- A genuine passion for ESG issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and proven ability to think both critically and creatively.
- The impulse of a self-starter coupled with the ability to work independently with a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in ESG and sustainable investing considered an asset.

**_The salary range for this position is _**_$42,000 - $55,000 CAD_**_ _**_annualized. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process._**
