The IOOF has recently embarked on the largest capital project in the IOOF’s history, with the launch of a $1.2 million redevelopment campaign to expand the facility to a 226-bed long-term care home. This transformative revitalization will create 64 new long-term care beds and 66 upgraded beds, modern spaces, updated equipment, private rooms, and increased square footage.
**The IOOF provides benefits to full and part time employees.**
**Qualifications**:
- **Graduate of a Culinary Management Program or Certification as a Cook and have Red Seal**:
- Safe Food Handling Certification and Smart Serve Certificate
- Grade twelve or equivalent;
- Two (2) years’ working experience cooking meals for large groups of people;
- An understanding of the Aging Process and how it applies to the dietary needs;
- Qualified knowledge of therapeutic diets;
- Good knowledge of Public Health sanitation methods in the handling of food;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Self motivated, organized and conscientious;
