**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Records Officer, Enterprise Content Management Unit, the Records and Information Management Business Analyst is responsible for providing the technical and business expertise required to research, analyze, evaluate, implement and monitor the Department's Records and Information Management Program following the Records Management Regulation as well as other relevant GoA guidelines.

The RIM Business Analyst collaborates closely with IT staff and service providers to ensure adherence to proper records keeping practices throughout the Department. They support and provide guidance to department staff regarding records and information management.
- Responsibilities:
- Implementing content management systems within the Department as required along with making recommendations and plans to enhance existing processes following industry and Alberta Health standards

Collaborating with Technology and Innovation for records management services, providing scheduling advice, digitization verification and issues resolution
- Collaborating with Information Technology on initiatives to support and maintain the tools necessary to manage information in the Department
- Training is provided to Department staff helping them better manage information
- Improving administrative and operational policies and procedures whereby all Department policies and procedures are created/documented, implemented and monitored to ensure that business records as well as information assets are managed effectively
- Auditing performed to ensure that the Department can effectively respond to requests for information under the _Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act_, _Health Information Act_ (HIA) and litigation. Information security and confidentiality is maintained

Administers the OpenText Content Server (RIMHub) physical records tracking system for the department, supporting searches as necessary, ensuring appropriate access, and providing troubleshooting
- Liaising with staff as well as Technology and Innovation to establish holds, identifying, locating, retrieving and managing responsive records

**Qualifications**:
A Two-year diploma in a related field plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
- Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
- Required experience includes:
- Records management experience including industry trends, tools and approaches
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders
- Effective research, problem solving and analytical skills

Preference will be given to individuals with the following assets:
- Experience with SharePoint
- Knowledge of information management legislation, policy standards and practices preferably in a government context
