**Future challenges**

Reporting to the Pit Supervisor, the Class 2 Pit Miner must be able to operate a wheel loader dedicated to the loading of double-track road trucks. He may also be called upon to operate other heavy machinery used in the mine.
- He performs his tasks according to the safety standards in force (road safety and health and safety, Mining and Quarrying Act);
- He inspects his equipment before and after his work shift;
- If necessary, he performs any other tasks requested by his supervisor.

**Profile required**
- Have worked at least 6000 hours as a heavy equipment operator, including 2000 hours of experience on a wheel loader.
- Must have additional qualifications on two (2) of the following other equipment:

- 2000 hours on production trucks
- 2000 hours on production hydraulic shovels
- 2000 hours on CAT 16M graders
- 2000 hours on bulldozers
- 2000 hours on the service excavators
- Posses a high school diploma (DES);
- Possession of a general explosives permit is mandatory;
- Possess a valid driver's license is essential;
- Hold a class 1 driver's license (asset);
- Good knowledge of preventive mechanics is an asset;
- Have successfully completed a heavy equipment course or have experience deemed equivalent.

**Nice to have**
- Bilingualism (French and functional English).
