**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Construction Manager and Superintendent, the Forman is a site-based role responsible for coordinating and managing construction projects, operations and overseeing workers at the construction site(s).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
- Plan and execute daily and weekly activities to hit targets provided by Superintendent or Construction Manager.
- Report on progress to managers, engineers, etc.
- Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
- Manage field crew to ensure optimal labour spend vs. productivity.
- Complete daily project reporting such as productivity, timesheets, FLRA’s etc.
- Produce employee and project schedules.
- Manage and monitor members attendance and work.
- Lead daily safety tail gate and end of shift meetings & provides daily goals & actuals.
- Manage and guide the use of machinery and equipment.
- Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues.
- Supervise, train, and give feedback to workers.
- Interact with site sub-contractors, project partners to coordinate and work effectively together.
- Provide problem solving, coaching, mentoring and technical direction to ensure procedural, safety and construction best practices are displayed.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized project site.

**Skills, Abilities & Attributes**
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.

**Qualifications**
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Able to work 10-12 hours per day Monday to Saturday.
- 10+ years experience in the Water & Sewer industry.
- Experience in a construction leadership role would be considered an asset.
