**POSITION**: People & Culture Coordinator REPORTS TO: Manager, People & Culture

We are looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture Team Our People & Culture Coordinator will work as a liaison for the various departments of the business, addressing employee issues and coordinating day-to-day People & Culture activities.

OPPORTUNITIES
In this role, you will work alongside our People & Culture Manager to provide HR guidance to all levels of staff You must be able to work in a fast paced environment, effectively handle employee concerns by using sound professional judgement. Also, you must exhibit positivity and demonstrate resourcefulness to identify and address People & Culture issues proactively. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects with a very supportive team and grow together with the Company

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

- You have strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel at Intermediate Level)

- You have strong knowledge and understanding of BC Employment standards
- You have a good understanding of the various HR functions

EXPERIENCE
- You have a Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline
- You have a minimum 2 years of experience in the Human Resources field
- Have a strong knowledge of the Employment Standards, Act, and other HR Related Polices
- Have a strong background of dealing with medical accommodations, long term leaves, duties required by an employer
- You have experience working in a culturally diverse work environment

NICE-TO-HAVE
- CPHR designation
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Recruitment experience

THINGS YOU WILL DO
- Ensure the plant follows all laws and established HR policies and procedures
- Facilitate communication across the organization
- Manage employee inquiries
- Coordinate training programs
- Champion activities related to recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
- Lead various programs and actively participate in a related HR project work
- Serve as an employee advocate and partner with the management team to unpack challenges and implement solutions
- Coordinate and participate in hourly culture events

OTHER
- Flexibility of working hours will be required to support evening staff, investigation, training etc.
- You may on occasion work at varied times as the job requires
