**Activity Aide**

**Reports to: Activity Director**

**Qualifications**
- Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent;
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate positive relationships;
- Ability to adapt to continually changing priorities;
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform work assignments with mínimal supervision and good judgment;
- Demonstrated professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in interactions with others;
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history and positive work references;
- Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a retirement residence or long term care setting.

**Duties**

**Screening**
- Actively screen individuals as they enter the Gardens of Parry Sound by completing a health screening questionnaire and conducting temperature checks
- Maintaining proper records for tracing purposes
- Other tasks as assigned from time to time

**Administration**

Reception, transfer or take messages as required
- Proper phone etiquette, identify yourself to the caller
- Answer questions and direct residents
- Photocopies - Forms
- Make Hair Salon Appointments
- Reminder calls to residents for appointments if requested or wake up calls
- Duties as requested by the management team

**Accounting help**
- Filing, shredding
- Petty cash logging and balancing
- Resident account logs for meals/incidental charges
- Other duties from time to time

**Activities**
- Help with special events
- Run activities with Residents
- Starting/executing planned activities as per the monthly calendar

**Marketing**
- Weekend Tours/Inquiry Calls
- Duties to be assigned

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
