**Key Responsibilities**
- Fine-tune and adjust dies to achieve optimal performance and precision.
- Work with tools and die makers to modify dies as needed to meet production requirements.
- Ensure that all adjustments are made according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Conduct thorough inspections of dies before, during, and after production to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Perform functional tests on dies to evaluate their performance, identifying any defects or areas for improvement.
- Use precision measurement tools to verify that dies are within tolerances and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on dies to ensure their longevity and reliability.
- Ensure all tools and equipment used in tuning and testing are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Accurately document all adjustments, test results, and findings in logs.
- Make adjustments on die performance, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Provide feedback to the production and engineering teams on die performance, suggesting modifications to improve quality and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving product quality, and enhancing production processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in die tuning and testing technologies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies when tuning and testing dies.
- Ensure that all tuning and testing activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
**Job Specifications**
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments (gauges, calipers, micrometers).
- Basic machining & tuning
- Good tooling knowledge. Working with extrusion tools preferred.
- Technical training or certification in tool and die making, die tuning, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in die tuning, testing, or tool and die work in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience using precision measurement tools.
