**Quality Assurance Job Description**

The Quality Assurance Supervisor ensures the accuracy of orders shipped and received by providing random inspections of orders picked and orders received. They consider the problem of errors and their causes which may involve identifying matters of training, warehouse layout, safety, interdepartmental communication. This role is responsible for ensuring proper rotation, and proper logging of expiration dates, or investigating errors and providing corrective actions.

This person must have a strong understanding of warehouse systems, pallet building, shipping requirements, receiving procedures and inventory control. They are expected for follow work safe procedures and must have effective communication skills to give constructive feedback and training.

This individual must be able to create standard operating procedures and investigate any deviation to procedure, system or standing while providing audits and corrective actions.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Random Checks of finished pallets for accuracy, damages, expiry dates and safety of the product ensuring that counts agree with pick list and bill of lading when applicable.
- Identify errors, ensure the correction, and write up corrective action
- Write up spoilage tickets and ensure proper procedures for write off and disposal of damage, spoiled or short dated products
- Ensure tracking of productivity logs
- Maintain an overview of warehouse locations and inspect for stocking errors and follow up with appropriate individuals
- Follow up on claim for credits and ensure stock is properly put back into rotation and conduct any investigation for mis picks and wrong products to ensure inventory adjustments are correct.
- Assist in the training of new order pickers by reviewing their orders with them, training them to build a proper pallet and giving correction and positive feedback as needed
- Create and maintain cleaning logs for every aisle, cooler and freezer coordinate with shipping and receiving to update logs as cleaning is performed and to ensure regularly cleaning is scheduled.
- Provide regular updates to the Warehouse operations manager and work closely with the supervisor on matters of training and quality control.
- Identify, monitor, and communicate all close dated product to appropriate teams
- Ensure close dated product is distributed to food bank prior to expiry date
- Ensure free shelf has appropriate products and all damaged or expired products are discarded
- Assist with inventory and inventory management and investigations as required

**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- Physical ability to do occasional heavy lifting, bending, twisting and repetition
- Computer proficiency: ability to use Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to Work without supervision in a cross functional team environment
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple concurrent tasks in in an environment of changing deadlines and priorities
- Proven ability to be analytical, organized, meticulous, a good problem solver, self-starter and fast learner
- Initiate and help implement standard operating procedures and corrective actions because of customer complaints or internal audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and non-compliance, provide direction to operational teams when process issues arise
- Ability to work effectively without supervision
- Highly motivated and reliable
