Job Overview:
Located in sunny Lacombe, Alberta, Blindman Brewing believes in both making great beer and building a great community. And the only way to do those things is with great people. Blindman is seeking a responsible individual to join our team as a Packager Level 1 (Part Time, Temporary). This person is needed for the months of May through September, providing an excellent opportunity for you to help get good beer to the good people during our busy summer months.

**Responsibilities**:

- Learn and assist in canning operations, packaging safety protocols, and procedures.
- Perform canning off-pack tasks under supervision.
- Wash and fill kegs under supervision.
- Shadow experienced team members to gain insight into various packaging processes.
- Acquire basic forklift operation skills and assist with warehousing duties as directed.
- Prepare materials and equipment for packaging runs, including tasks such as folding flats.
- Assist in resolving minor issues during packaging runs, such as addressing stuck cans or minor equipment malfunctions.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain cleanliness in the packaging area.
- Ensure all packaging equipment and tools are properly cleaned and maintained according to SOPs.
- Provide support in other brewery areas as needed, including restocking tap room coolers, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and organizing the main cooler.
- Assist brewers with cellar work duties if required
- Occasionally deliver packaged beer to accounts

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A clean driver’s abstract and a valid Class 5 drivers license valid in Alberta.
- Previous experience in a brewery or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions closely.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new tasks.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Working hours for this position are variable but are expected to range from 20 to 30 hours per week. We’ll work together with you to create a schedule that works for everyone.

Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: $15.00-$22.43 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
