Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Kingston, Miss Bāo Restaurant + Cocktail Bar offers an exquisite blend of Asian Fusion cuisine in a full-service setting. As we continue to grow, we're on the lookout for passionate individuals to enhance our Heart of House team as Prep/Line Cooks.
**Your Role**:
As a pivotal member of our culinary team, you will:
- Thrive on the line during bustling dinner services, crafting and adorning dishes from our seasonal menu with finesse.
- Engage in essential prep tasks—mixing and kneading dough, concocting sauces, and prepping an array of vegetables and proteins—to set the stage for a seamless service.
- Uphold the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and order, both during and after service.
**What We're Looking For**:
- A solid grasp of various cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
- Prior experience in, or a keen interest in Asian cuisine is an advantage.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and a robust understanding of food safety principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, positive mindset.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a kitchen that prioritizes cooking from scratch or currently enrolled in culinary program/institution.
- Flexibility in your schedule, with availability from Thursday to Sunday essential. (Accommodations may be made for students currently enrolled in a culinary management program due to school commitment)
