**Job Summary**:
We are seeking 10 highly motivated and reliable Security Guards to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Your primary duties will include surveillance, foot patrols, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
**- WE WILL NOT BE HIRING ANYONE WHO IS ON A STUDENT VISA**
**- ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR LEFT ON THEIR CANADIAN WORK PERMIT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A POSITION IN OUR COMPANY. A COPY OF YOUR WORK PERMIT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR VERIFICATION IF AN INTERVIEW IS PRESENTED TO YOU. NO EXCEPTIONS.**
**- THE SHIFTS ARE 48 HOURS PER WEEK AND CAN BE DAYTIME, EVENING OR OVERNIGHT SHIFTS DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION**
**- HAVING A VEHICLE, A NOVA SCOTIA VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND VALID CANADIAN CAR INSURANCE WILL MOVE YOU TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE FOR AN INTERVIEW**

**Duties**:

- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Monitor to detect any suspicious activity
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying the identification of individuals entering the premises
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors

**Experience**:

- 3 years minimum previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of working with low income housing, government housing etc. is a benefit
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer skills for report writing via our internal app for communications

**Qualifications**:

- Over the age of 19 years old, no criminal record of any kind, no outstanding monies owed to the Province of Nova Scotia and must be willing to have a background check performed on them by the Nova Scotia Department of Justice
