**Responsibilities & Duties**
**Key Responsibilities**
Supervise & ensure safety of crew members
Following OHSA (Owners Healthy & Safety Association) guidelines
Supervise crew members' productivity.
Facilitate mandatory safety toolbox meetings
Ensuring completion of initial safety and hazard assessments
Participating in safety/incident investigations
Ensuring that vehicle and equipment checks are completed.
Recognizing, addressing, and resolving issues/problems among/between crew members
Maintaining site foreperson's log & site reports
Daily time keeping & reporting.
**Leadership & Supervision**
Communicating the job to and with crew members
Assigning crew in task completion
Recognizing, addressing, and resolving issues/problems among/between crew members
Maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity.
Ensuring crew compliance with project policies and procedures
**Planning & Scheduling**
Translating general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for the crew and ensuring correct tools are available.
Working with the crew to overcome work challenges.
Periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production.
**Quality Control**
On-site assessment prior to commencing work to ensure that the job is ready and addressing any concerns.
Overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the plans.
Inspecting and measuring completed work.
Qualifications & Skills
5 years experience in Construction Supervision
A working and technical knowledge of commercial and residential construction process and all major trades.
Familiarity with city approvals, building codes and inspection requirements Computer proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Valid Class 5 Licence and access to a vehicle.
