Overview:
The Medical Office Assistant provides administration support for a team of Speech Language Pathologist and ensures all documentation and procedures are completed to meet needs of the therapists. processing referrals, scheduling appointments, maintaining client records,, and providing exceptional customer service.

**Duties**:

- Greet clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Maintain client records and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Submit monthly invoices to the BC Government Autism Funding portal and other 3rd Party Payers
- Process invoices and payments in a timely manner through Jane, including third party funding sources
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Jane
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
