**FIND YOUR DRIVE **at Parts for Trucks and join our **Technician Training Academy**; a program specifically designed to accelerate your education towards a rewarding career as a truck and transport service technician. In this program you will be taught by a dedicated instructor who will ensure you have the necessary skills to succeed in the industry. Through a hybrid work schedule comprised of classroom time and on the floor experience, we will support your learning, training you on the job so you can **earn while you learn**.
**What you will learn**:
- Repair and maintain all makes of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses.
- Perform vehicle inspections, test, and diagnose mechanical problems.
- Adjust or replace parts on mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems, including brakes, steering, and lighting.
- Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Communicate with Shop Foremen and document completed work.

**What is required of you**:
- Completed Grade 12 and two years of experience in any job.
- Good work ethic and interested in learning new skills.
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- Have good manual dexterity.
- Able to work on your feet all day, and with intermittent heavy lifting.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
