- **Salary**:Starting salary at $52,700, based on a 35-hour work week. Salary for this position will commensurate with each individual's education and/or experience as it relates to the position.

- ** What You Will Do**

In this position, you will provide support on delivering wetland outreach events, oversee on the ground operations/activities at the Boreal Wetland Centre, and contribute to boreal wetland knowledge transfer products.

You will also be responsible for:

- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships; serve as the field-site contact for partners, the public & DUC personnel
- Support citizen science projects (i.e., volunteer engagement and coordination)
- Assist in education and communication activities (presentations at workshops & short courses, field demonstrations etc.)
- Weekly to bi-weekly data collection & compilation (hydrology, biology)
- Acquisition, deployment and maintenance of technical equipment and supplies, and the coordination and completion of site maintenance activities

**Who You Are**

You have excellent oral and written communication skills, a proven track record of working and fostering relationships with project partners, and a comprehension of boreal wetland functions & values, with some knowledge of wetland ecology and hydrology.

**Requirements**:

- A college diploma in ecology, hydrology, conservation, or natural resource management field
- Outreach & education experience, preferably in an environmental role
- Experience coordinating projects & relationship building
- Field-based data collection and management experience relating to one or more of the following: vegetation, soils, wildlife/waterfowl and water monitoring data.
- Strong planning, reporting & project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Able to work effectively both in a team & independently
- Ability to frequently travel to the Wetland Centre at Evergreen Park, County of Grande Prairie with occasional travel to other locations throughout Alberta
- Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license
