Job Details:
As a CDC at Barbacoa, you will play a crucial role in supporting Chef in the planning, coordination, and execution of all kitchen activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen efficiency.
Menu Planning and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Chef in creating innovative and appealing menus that align with the restaurant's culinary vision.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for seasonal and special event menus.
Food Preparation and Execution:
- Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to maintain the highest-quality standards.
- Ensure that all recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards are consistently followed by the kitchen staff.
Kitchen Management:
- Daily operation of the kitchen, including supervising kitchen staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining Barbacoa work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Chef to order supplies as needed.
Quality Control:
- Conduct quality checks each shift on ingredients and finished dishes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Address any issues promptly to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the kitchen team.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Enforce proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
