As an OEM manufacturer, the highest quality standards are achieved by in-house production of main components developed and manufactured by Liebherr. In this role, you will support our Earth Moving division to train and work on our line of material handling and construction heavy equipment. As our newest Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work and support experienced Liebherr Technicians to safely and effectively maintain Earth Moving machinery in the Greater Vanvouver area.
**Responsibilities**:
- Attend classroom training as required and complete a recognized apprenticeship framework to a high standard
- Ensure and maintain the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others in the workplace
- Study and remain current on relative Liebherr products and manuals
- Ensure all documentation is completed as required
- Follow a set rotation and training plan in the workplace
- Prepare heavy equipment or essential responsibilities for repair
- Identify and order parts to complete repairs and prepare for upcoming jobs
- Carry out repairs, modifications, rebuilds, servicing, maintenance on a range of heavy equipment
- Carry out diagnosis of faults and remedial work under the supervision of a Heavy Equipment Technician
- Any other task or project as required to suit business needs
**Competencies**:
- 1-2 years working experience on Heavy Equipment strongly preferred
- \Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
- Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
- You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time
- Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite
- Valid Drivers License and ability to travel
